Bogotá and its neighboring areas have an abundance of attractions to explore. Your journey begins early in the morning when our expert guide picks you up directly from your accommodation. This excursion can commence anytime between 7 AM and 12 PM, allowing you the flexibility to choose the most convenient time. We suggest an early start to fully enjoy the adventure.
Once aboard the vehicle, we'll head to our initial destination, Cerro de Guadalupe, renowned as one of Bogotá's premier viewpoints, situated at an elevation of 3317 meters. This hill is home to a sanctuary originally constructed in the 17th century, along with a notable 15-meter statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.
After capturing stunning panoramic images of the city, we will continue our journey along the route to Choachí, seeking the lush mountainous forest and mystical waterfalls.
An hour's drive will bring us to the entrance of the La Chorrera natural and adventure park. Here, we'll traverse steep, slippery, and rocky pathways, leading us to the first small waterfall, El Chiflón. Standing at 55 meters tall, it’s a hotspot for thrill-seekers who enjoy rappelling down its chilly waters.
As we move along, you'll gain insights into the park's history, the local ecosystem, and the indigenous heritage. You'll also encounter unique natural features like "the monkey cave,” as you navigate the hills and winding paths that define this unique fog forest.
Deep within the park, we will discover La Chorrera, the renowned 590-meter stepped waterfall. Though rappelling is not permitted here, you can admire its beauty while taking a moment to rest, surrounded by lush vegetation and the enchanting moor forest.
