Both options include transportation from your hotel, a guide during the excursion, and internal transfers within the park.

Tour Description

Our tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Bogotá. From there, we`ll travel to Chicaque Natural Park , a reserve located in the mountains of Cundinamarca, where the cloud forest preserves an extraordinary diversity of Andean flora and fauna.

Upon arrival at the park, we`ll begin our hiking experience along trails surrounded by native vegetation, ferns, mosses, and towering trees . Accompanied by our guide, we`ll discover the unique features of this ecosystem while enjoying the mountain scenery and opportunities to observe birds in their natural habitat.

You can choose between two tour options , depending on how much time you want to spend exploring Chicaque:

Hiking in Chicaque – 7 hours:

We`ll hike along the park`s nature trails, adapting the route to the group`s pace and conditions. During the hike, we`ll discover viewpoints, forested areas, and spaces to appreciate the reserve`s biodiversity. We`ll enjoy a local snack and have time to relax before heading back. This option offers a shorter, more flexible experience, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature without dedicating the entire day to a demanding hike.

Chicaque and Pico del Águila – 9 and a half hours:

For those seeking a more comprehensive hiking experience, we will explore some of the park`s most iconic areas. We will visit Pico del Águila (Eagle Peak ), a natural viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Tequendama region`s mountains, weather permitting. We will then continue to the Oak Forest , an area of dense vegetation where we can learn about the characteristic trees of the Andean forests and observe the diverse birdlife that inhabits this reserve. Around midday, we will have free time for lunch (not included) before beginning our return hike along mountain trails with steep inclines and natural steps.

Once the selected tour is completed, we will return to Bogotá in our tourist transport, concluding the experience with the transfer to your hotel.
