Tour Description
Day 1 – Arrival and Initial City Tour
Upon landing at El Dorado Airport, a driver will be ready to effortlessly transport you to your city hotel. After checking in and taking a brief rest, kick off your adventure with the Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Bus, operating in two shifts: morning (9:00 AM) and afternoon (2:00 PM).
If your flight lands in the morning, we recommend joining the afternoon tour. The nearest stop to your hotel might vary, but the service allows easy boarding at any of its 12 stops. For your first day, we advise taking the full route without disembarking, perfect for getting acquainted with the city from a panoramic viewpoint.
This approximately 4-hour journey will reveal the contrasts of the capital: from the modern sophistication of the Zona T and Parque de la 93 to the colonial gems of the historic center. You'll also have the chance to see iconic sites such as:
- International Center, featuring its contemporary buildings and theaters.
- Plaza de Mercado La Concordia, one of the most authentic markets for Bogotá residents.
- Monserrate, with its sanctuary and must-see views (you can ascend the same day or save it for the next day based on your arrival and departure schedules).
As the tour concludes (final stop around 6:00 p.m. at Parque de la 93), you can remain in this area for dinner at one of its restaurants or bars with terraces, perfect for ending the day with excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Return to your hotel independently or via taxi (safe and easily accessible in the area).
Day 2 – Independent Exploration and Departure
After breakfast, you have additional time to further explore the city with your still-valid hop-on hop-off bus ticket. Today, you can make extended stops at the places that piqued your interest the previous day.
An excellent option is to begin at Monserrate Hill, where you can hike, or take the funicular or cable car, to enjoy Bogotá's most breathtaking views (ticket to Monserrate not included). You might also explore the Gold Museum, stroll through the cobblestone streets of La Candelaria, or visit the lively Chorro de Quevedo, the city’s founding site that now hosts artisans, students, and a vibrant blend of Bogotá's culture.
At the scheduled time, a private transfer will collect you from your hotel and take you to El Dorado Airport for your return flight, leaving you with the satisfaction of having explored Bogotá at your leisure in a short period.
