We will gather at your hotel in Bogotá at 2:00 pm to commence our journey through the northern part of the city towards Zipaquirá. During the drive, the guide will share insights along the route as the urban scenery gradually transforms into stunning green landscapes adorned with crops and grazing animals.

The first destination is the remarkable Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, a former salt mine that has been transformed into a breathtaking underground architectural masterpiece. We will descend 180 meters below ground to explore the Stations of the Cross, depicting the final steps of Jesus, and proceed to the Great Central Dome, which houses the world's largest underground salt cross.

Beyond being a symbol of faith for the miners who once labored here, the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral stands as an extraordinary example of engineering and architecture. You can wander through its impressive hallways, chapels, and sculptures carved from salt, which illustrate biblical passages and the religious history of Colombia.

Upon exiting the cathedral, you can discover the area around it, enjoying spectacular views of the town of Zipaquirá.

At approximately 06:30 pm, we will proceed to Andrés Carne de Res in Chía, a lively and colorful restaurant celebrating the rich culture and traditions of Colombia. Here, you’ll have the chance to savor a variety of exquisite Colombian dishes, experience live music, dancing, and the vibrant festive atmosphere that defines this iconic venue.

The tour and dining at the restaurant are self-guided and at your own expense. The driver will be waiting outside the restaurant to transport you back to the hotel around 12 am.
