On this captivating 8-hour nature tour, we will explore the intriguing Sacred Lagoon of Guatavita, situated at an altitude of 3,100 meters. This revered site was honored by the indigenous Muiscas, who regarded it as a place of immense spiritual significance.
We will set off from Bogotá at approximately 08 AM, and throughout our journey, we will encounter breathtaking landscapes as we traverse the magnificent Andean mountains and immerse ourselves in the verdant surroundings of the lagoon.
Nestled in the municipality of Sesquilé, merely 70 kilometers north of Bogotá, upon arrival, we will receive guidance to follow the paths leading us to the enchanting lagoon. Our guide will direct our steps as we revel in the natural splendor of this location, where the legend of El Dorado springs to life. We will envision the ancient Muisca ceremonies, during which they cast gold artifacts and precious stones into the lagoon as offerings.
