We will kick off this day of history, art, and culture with a pick-up from your accommodation in Bogotá. Our driver guide will be ready to meet you starting at 7 AM.

Leaving the Colombian capital behind, we will embark on a 3-hour journey to the department of Boyacá. Along the way, we'll uncover stories while enjoying the stunning Colombian landscapes. Our first stop will be at the historic Boyacá Bridge, where we'll enjoy breakfast and revisit the pivotal event that shaped Colombia's future: the final battle for independence.

Reenergized, we will proceed to Villa de Leyva, a colonial gem designated as a national monument in 1954. Here, a local guide will lead us on an intriguing tour through the cobbled streets and historical landmarks. Additionally, we will have the chance to visit the Paleontological Research Center Museum (CIP Museum), where we will learn about the region's fascinating paleontological discoveries.

Following the guided tour, you'll have free time to wander through the charming corners of Villa de Leyva, visit the church, enjoy lunch, and admire the historical architecture of this town that feels paused in time.

Around 3 PM, we will make our way to Ráquira, renowned as the artisan capital of Colombia. The vibrant streets and house decorations will enchant you as we explore its colonial center. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to tour artisan workshops, admire their one-of-a-kind creations, and bring home a piece of Ráquira's charm.
